Design-Build Live Oaks Water Main Distribution System

The purpose of this design-build project was to install approximately 6,500 linear feet of 8" PVC water main line, meter, valves and backflow preventer to satisfy requirements for fire hydrant, Park Headquarters Visitors Center Building and related structures, and the future expansion of the NLO Maintenance Compound. The existing water service is on a transmission line that was re-routed and tapped into the City of Gulf Breeze, FL 12" pressurized distribution line. The work consisted of civil engineering services to prepare construction documents in accordance with South Santa Rosa Utility System and Design Standards, obtained all necessary permits from FDEP, FDOT, NW FWMD, City, NPDES, and construction management and inspection. The work also included all necessary construction services to build the water main distribution line, meter, valves and backflow preventer in accordance with the plans, specifications and estimate (PS&E).
