ACT received a letter of commendation from the Beaumont Reserve Fleet in which they state, "The 24,589 safe man-hours were made possible through a strong commitment from ACT and Mr.Clawson’s part to construction safety through the partnering process."
The US Army Corps of Engineers awarded ACT the Zero "Lost-Time" Accident Award in support of the Celebrate Safety program for our "exemplary safety record" on Contract W91278-09-D-0023, Renovate Building 1312, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.
ACT purchased a building in the HUBZone section of downtown Pensacola located at 218 E. Government Street. This new building will be ACT's administrative headquarters and will allow for future expansion. The location is just off Pensacola's Seville Square and is conveniently located and sits in the middle of the local Economic Development Zone as well as an SBA HUBZone.
ACT is finalizing negotiations with the USACE's Mobile district office
to renovate the temporary command center for the Joint Strike Fighter
at Eglin AFB. This high-profile project has a quick completion deadline
and will require several trades and coordination with staff who will
occupy parts of the building during construction.
To better serve federal clients in northeast and central Florida, ACT
opened an office in Jacksonville, FL. The new office is located at 841
Prudential Drive, Suite 1244, Jacksonville, FL 32207. This is a central
location in downtown Jacksonville that allows ACT to efficiently
control projects at the Mayport Naval Station and the Jacksonville NAS.
From this location, ACT employees can easily reach other sites such as
Blount Island, Kennedy Space Center and projects throughout central
Florida for the US Army Corps of Engineers.
The Mobile District of the US Army Corps of Engineers awarded ACT a $3.5M design-build IDIQ contract for work to be performed on Hurlburt Field, Tyndall Air Force Base and Eglin Air Force Base in the Florida pan-handle.
Exceeding expectations, ACT was able to break $10M in billings for 2007. This, combined with a controlled overhead, will keep ACT's bonding and liquidity strong for 2008.
Some agencies, such as the US Coast Guard, rely heavily on the HUBZone program and with this certification, ACT is in a strong position to assist these agencies with their construction needs.
In the fourth quarter of 2007, the Navy in Gulfport, MS, awarded ACT its' prestigious Quarterly Safety Award for job site excellence and a Culture of Safety.
The Navy in New Orleans awarded ACT a sole-source contract for Comprehensive Base Repairs as well as a contract to replace Hurricane Katrina Damaged Signs.
The Mobile Army Corps of Engineers awarded a $3.5M Design-Build IDIQ to ACT for work to be performed on three panhandle Air Force bases: Hurlburt Field, Eglin AFB and Tyndall AFB.
